We have lots of big plans for this class this year. My hope is to give you an experience that will leave you "hearing in color." This means that you'll become more aware of the details that make music so great, and as a result, be able to enjoy it even more. You'll learn how to analyze, describe, discuss, create and better appreciate this essential part of our daily lives.
One of the ways that we will be discussing music this year will be through this blog. Every week or so, I will post a question (or something thought provoking) and you will respond to it through a comment. Each of you will post one original comment of your own, as well as comment in response to one other student post. We'll talk about the details of this later....What matters now is that you:
1. Create a gmail account.
2. Become a follower of this blog by clicking on the blue "Join This Site" box and following the instructions. Make sure your display name is your actual name.
3. Sign up to follow this blog by email (right sidebar).
4. Practice leaving a comment by commenting on this post! Type your earth-shatteringly thought provoking text into the white box below and push "Post Comment." Please "comment as" your google account.
5. Prepare yourself to learn. This is going to be awesome.
